Year 2007 is about to pass and we are welcoming the year 2008.

Year 2007 has been a great year for me….

I made some major movements in my life in year 2007:

• I officially retired from corporate world at the end of January 2007
• I was one of the flood victims in Indonesia’s Major Flood disaster, Feb 2007
• I moved to a new “free from flood” House few months after the flood
• I was more focused in my online business with my new home office with new internet connection
• I won couple of JV contests that Increased my credibility and managed to secure me some great JV deals with some top online marketers. One JV I made gave me over 15K new members and 5 digits in sales within 30 days.
• I built my list rapidly after losing few lists in an autresponder service and decided to built new lists in aweber and MVS which have expanded from 800 members to over 16K subscribers in just 7 months… and it’s still growing daily…
• From October - December I have a very steady increasing income online with no day without sales notifications from various income sources
• I created this blog with intention to inspire others and also to reveal my methods and tools to do my “work at home” business in the final week of december

I am grateful for all good and bad things in the year 2007 and I hope I can help you personally in future with this blog….

Today I just got invitation to a brand new program called myviralpopads.

Out of my curiosity I signed up and learned more about the OTO as well after I signed up.

Basically it’s a hover ad exchange with the ability to build list as well. After reading the OTO I found something interesting which is the ability to deposit the sign up below our matrix to our autoresponder.

Well I was excited and thinking to take the OTO for $127 however after some considerations I didn’t do it.

Here are my considerations:

• I honestly don’t need another viral ad exchange… I already have a working viral ad program that works very well for me to drive targeted traffic to my opt-in page, because no other ad in the hover ad and it’s only appear when someone is about to leave the page…so it more effective and less annoying. The program is Exit Explosion.
• I was more interested in the capability to build my list. BUT when I think again, it will be less effective for me who use aweber. Aweber requires the leads to confirm first before the leads become active subscribers. So if the program deposit the leads to my aweber then aweber will send the confirmation email first. Since the lead sign up to the myviralpopads there will be small chance they will click the confirmation link from my aweber since they don’t remember to sign up to my list.
• I prefer to be the owner of the program. It’s a great idea and concept to build list faster but for the owner, NOT really for me as the member.

Okay that’s just my opinion, I am not attacking the owner of the program here, I think for newbies it could help somehow…which is to start building list but for me I don’t think it will worth my time…

First IF I decide to promote it to my list…I don’t need my current members to be deposited in my autoresponder again, and if i want to leverage my effort from my referrals the problem I see that my referral’s sign up don’t know me and how they will confirm to my list, unless I am using my own autoresponder script that allow single optin function, but in long run I will see lots of unsubs members and spam complaints.

Ok so let’s get back to my interest to become the owner of this type list building program…

Well actually I already have such site already using a much more powerful and proven method in list building…which is having the similar type of viral site.

The site managed to brought me 1200 members in 5 days and continue until today… and if you apply it you will also have the same result…

To be honest with you I don’t hire programmer to create this type of viral site, I just save my time and money by using the MVS program.

In my previous newsletter I revealed to you how I managed
to quit my day job.

Today I will focus on opt.in pages…

My normal optin pages consists of:
1. Headline
2. E-cover
3. Bullet points benefits (or description of your offer)
4. Opt-in form integrated with autoresponder.

After the opt.in is ready then we can drive traffic there
via various methods like PPC, giveaways (my favorite),
cross promotion etc.

However let me tell me my mistake and also the mistake of
most newbies out there…

We are too lazy to test our opt.in pages and to tweak it for
better performance…

I learned it the hard way but I finally found my optin
page formula where I can get 45% to 80% sign up conversion
rate. I get rid my optin pages that converted less than
30%..

So once I know my best performing opt.in page I will
concentrate on driving traffic there and it has speed up
my list building effort. I grow my list to new 9000
subscribers in just 45 days!

are too lazy is because doing the split test of our
optin pages is tedious job…
